September 2017 Electrical Engineering Exam , Master Electrician - Passers

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2,807 out of 4,460Registered Electrical Engineers and 2,643 out of 3,864Registered Master Electricians successfully passed the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examinations given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga this September 2017.

The members of the Board of Electrical Engineering who gave the licensure examinations are Engr. Francis V. Mapile, Chairman and Engr. Jaime V. Mendoza, Member.

The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examinations.

From September 18 to September 25, 2017, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: Notice of admission, duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

Electrical Engineer board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The two-day exam for REE covered the following subjects: mathematics, engineering sciences and allied subjects (Day 1) and electrical engineering professional subjects (Day 2). For RME exams, it covered technical subjects ( i.e. basic electricity, test equipment and electrical measurements) and Philippine Electrical Code.

The passing general weighted average rating is seventy percent (70%) with no grade below fifty percent (50%) in any subject.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019, the target release date of the recent Electrical Engineer board exam results is on Thursday, September 7 or in 3 working days after the test.

In the same period last year (September 2016), results were released online in three (3) working days after the exam. PRC named 2,817 out of 4,115 (68.14%) Registered Electrical Engineers and 2,525 out of 3,709 (68.08%) Registered Master Electricians passed the exams. University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the board for REE after its 98.48% passing rate. Meanwhile, Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) - Manila led the schools for RME, 87.14%.

In September 2015 exam, PRC also announced results in 3 working days. 2,536 out of 3,772 Registered Electrical Engineers and 1,886 out of 2,993 Registered Master Electricians successfully passed tests. UST was hailed as the top performing school for REE, 98.61 % while Bohol Island State University (BISU) - Tagbilaran aced RME board with 92.16%.

Noted that Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) - Lucban and Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) - Manila are among the consistent schools in the list of highest performing institutions for electrical engineering based on previous exams.
