"Meron tayong acquisition na 23 attack helicopters, ‘yun suficiente na ‘yan for a… ‘yung mga rebellion-rebellion," Duterte said while visiting 26 wounded soldiers at the Army General Hospital.
"So lahat ng bibilhin ko para sa inyo, puro bago. Wala nang purchases ang, sa panahon ko, ‘yung Armed Forces pati police na second hand. Bago lahat at gagastos tayo," he added.
Meanwhile the Philippine Navy unveiled its first missile defense system to be mounted on three of its brand new multi-purpose attack craft (MPAC) this December.
The said missile system would be a pre-delivery inspection from Israel's Rafael Advanced Defense System Ltd.'s Spike ER. The missile system is capable of penetrating 1,000 mm or 39 inches of rolled homogenous armor and has a maximum range of five miles and it is design for anti-ship mode.
