#WalangPasok: August 17, 18, 19, 20, 21,22, 27

Part of Davao's yearly celebration of its festivities (Kadayawan festival), Malacañang Palace declared August 17 (Friday) as non-working holiday for the people living in Davao City and August 20 for Araw ng Pasasalamat.

This is under the proclamation No.273 declaring August 17, 2018, as a non-working holiday in Davao City was signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on behalf of the President.

 These is to give way for the visitors and locals to enjoy the Kadayawan festival. The Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) recently released the order No. 025 announcing the school calendar for the school year 2018-2019. In the said school calendar, it stated that for the month of August, we have three regular and special non-working holidays.

Here are the dates of holidays and class suspensions for August 2018:

August 21 - Ninoy Aquino Day (Special non-working holiday)
August 22 - Eid'l Adha (Regular Holiday)
August 27 - National Heroes Day (Regular Holiday)
