Finding work can be challenging for deaf or hard of hearing person. Deaf and hard of hearing people may experience discrimination, both before and after finding employment.
But, thanks to Facebook user Rey-an Moreno for sharing the photo of a deaf person working at De Original Jamaican Pattie Shop. Moreno lauded the companies that hired deaf people as their employees and made his shout out to support those companies. "You'll see ID that says "hello I'm (name) I'm deaf," read in Moreno's post.
Many with disabilities was inspired by his post that hoped for more companies would provide an opportunities to deaf people like Minette in the photo.
