One dead and one other is wounded at Lighthouse Marina Resort shooting incident in Subic.

A businessman was shot to death in front of the Lighthouse Marina Resort. The victim was identified as Dominic Sytin, a United Auctioneers Inc. (UIA) CEO and his bodyguard Efren Espartero were about to enter the Resort Hotel in Subic around 7:30 pm on November 28, when an unidentified gun man fired at close range. Esparto tried to fire back, but the assailant hit him in his right arm and torso according to businessmirror report.


Witnesses said that they recalled hearing several gun shots, while CCTV footage from the hotel showed the assailant firing a final shot to the body of Sytin.

 Olongapo City Police Office described the male suspect as 5'8" to 5'9" in height, with medium body built.

The 51-year-old businessman is the president and CEO of the biggest vehicle auctioneer operator in the country. UAI was first started its first auction in Subic in March 1999 which reportedly sold more than 110,000 units of industrial, transport and construction machines to more than 40,000 local and foreign buyers.
