Manila, Philippines - Coke Studio had announced earlier to postpone the free Coke Studio Concert held in the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on Friday, December 7 for the audiences safety.
"We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the public's continuous support for Coke Studio. Our number one priority is always the safety and security of our audience. Together with the Philippine National Police, the City of Pasay, SM Mall of Asia, and all the artists, we have deemed it necessary to RESCHEDULE the concert to the first quarter of 2019.
The unsafe behavior of portions of estimated 15,000 spectators such as pushing, jumping on the barricade, and throwing bottles, threatened the safety of the rest of the concert-goers, despite numerous reminders from authorities present.
We, together with the artists, promise a bigger, better Coke Studio concert for everyone. We will endeavor to get a venue that can accommodate more attendees. Hopefully, we can all enjoy the upcoming concert without putting other people at risk.
Thank you for understanding and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused," Coca-Cola said in a statement.
The artists lined-up for the free Coca-Cola concert are The Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.ap, Sasm Concepcion,K-pop idol Kriesha Chu,Ben amd Ben,December Avenue,Moira dela Torre,Khalil Ramos,IV of Spades,Quest,Juan Miguel Severo and some other local artists.
