The 21 year-old Tarriga is a working student since his first year at the University of Cebu. He finished civil engineering degree in just four and half years despite of his busy schedule.

On his fourth year, he resigned as a working student and focus on his review classes for one and half years. Because of his potential to excel in the civil engineering board exam, the owner of the review center offered him a slot free of charge.

"Aspiring engineers should be able to grasp the concept of civil engineering in order to pass the exam," Tarriga said to cebudailyinquirer.

“For those who are also planning to take the licensure exam in civil engineering, just keep on fighting, because a moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory,” he added.
