Cruise ship crashes on tourist boat in Venice canal was caught on cam

Venice, Italy - An out-of-control cruise ship was caught on cam crashing into a dock and a tourist river boat in Venice canal on Sunday, injuring four tourists.

Video on Twitter show the moving cruise ship apparently unable to stop and continues its momentum unto the dock and collided to a tourists boat causing dozens of people to run away in panic.

MSC Cruises said the ship was about to dock at a passenger terminal in Venice when it had a mechanical problem. Two towboats guiding the cruise ship into Venice tried to stop the massive cruise ship, but they were unable to prevent it from ramming into the river boat.

Suspects on a mechanical breakdown. The tugs couldn’t prevent the cruise ship from being pulled by the current.

The Pilot just guides the crew he doesn’t operate the ships controls/propulsion, looks like a machinery failure.

I never knew Speed 2 existed until today. when I saw it trending, I thought they were making an squeal to the original film. It turned out that Speed 2 was a thing many years ago, and this incident is similar to the film. I hope everyone who got hurt make a speedy recovery.
