PH robotics team wins silver in First Lego League in Australia

Young Filipino inventors form the Philippine Robotics National Team reaped prizes at the recent For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (First) Lego League (FLL) Asia Pacific Open Championship in Australia.

The Department of Science and Technology announced the winner through the Philippine Robotics team represented by Grace Christian College's "Garcean Whiz". The team finished second for Gracious Professionalism at the FIRST LEGO Legue held lat July 4-7 in Sydney.

Their winning piece is their Infinity Board project that brings recreational activities in space to a whole new level through portable tabletop board game system.

Coached by Arlyn Jordan and Warren John Ong Pe , Gracean Whiz ranked 7th in the Robotic Game.

The team competed among 43 other teams of over 400 students from the 21 countries.

The Philippine Robotics Team received the award for  “ethos of encouraging high quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community.”
