Actress Cherry Pie Picache personally visited the man who killed her mother in prison, bringing the pure heart of forgiveness.
In the documentary video Radical Love, Cherry Pie decided to met Michael in New Bilibid Prison, where she embraced the man who slain his mother Zenaida Sison in September 2014.
Picache opened up about the process of forgiving Flores in an episode of 'Radical Love'.
Michael Flores was found guilty of robbery with homicide, and was sentenced to reclusion perpetua or imprisonment of up to 40 years.
"Forgiving before was like okay, you forgive... I mean you were taught about it as what as young as 5 years... but now iba na. After this, ngayon nga yung parang...mahirap na akong magalit, yung totoong galit. Now parang you just let things slide after this parang ganyan. Parang okay na iyon." Pichache said.
"I can only feel the gratefulness... Kasi talaga nung una, I was really hesitant and scared. I was really scared to open up yung story namin this way and to open up what I was going through this way," Cherry Pie added.
On separate interview with Boy Abunda, Cherry Pie said: “Hindi ako makapaniwala na… kasi dinalhan ko pa siya ng pasalubong pa. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi ko akalain na magagawa ko na mabibigyan ko pa ng tinapay ‘yung taong pumatay sa mommy ko.”
“Buong puso ko siyang pinapatawad. Now I should continue visiting him para yung reformation, para ma-restore both yung healing namin magtuloy-tuloy, kasi hindi lang naman doon tumitigil,” she added.
