Italy has recorded another 743 deaths in a day, raising total to 6,820 - reports said on Tuesday.
On Monday 602 people died, that followed 650 deaths on Sunday and 793 on Saturday - the highest ever recorded since the coronavirus pandemic hit Italy.
Currently, the country has a total of 69,176 confirmed cases from previous 63,927 - Civil Protection Agency announced.
The northern region of Lombardy remained on top with the highest deaths toll of 4,178 and 30,703 cases.
