The city of Manila along with the province of Cebu and Laguna will be placed under the "modified" enhanced community quarantine from May 16 to May 31 in an effort flatten the curve, President Spokesperson Harry Roque said Tuesday.
Under a "modified" enhanced community quarantine, he said that there will be limited movement of people, allowing only movement of essential services and opening of select manufacturing and processing plants.
"We will gradually open the economy by allowing selected manufacturing and processing plants to operate up to a maximum of 50 percent," Roque said in a virtual media briefing, adding that "classes in all levels will remain closed."
