Honest delivery driver returns security guard's lost wallet

Despite of this trying times, there are still a lot of good people out there which proved humanity still exist. 

Case in point, one delivery driver from Mandaluyong has just captured the heart of netizens when news about this act of kindness spread on social media.

Ruben Velasquez Jr., 26, a Lalamove rider was on his way to deliver goods to Green Meadows in Pasig City when he saw a lost wallet owned by a security guard named Rolly Caro on June 7.

“Kalat kalat po [sa kalsada] yung mga pera at papel na laman ng wallet kaya pinulot ko po isa-isa habang nasa loob ng tunnel,” Velasquez told INQUIRER.net.

At that point to find the owner of the lost wallet, Velasquez used the power of social media to ask for the help of netizens to share, so the message will reached to the poor security guard.

According to Velasquez, he felt sad while driving going to his drop-off point of his delivery, thinking that it is hard to earn money now that the country is facing a pandemic.


Velasquez took photos of the security guards identification cards and post on Facebook. Thanked to the research group on social media that after an hour Velasquez received a call for the owner's whereabouts.

Thankful for Velasquez's honesty, Rolly Caro told that he will never forget the act of kindness he has done.
