Katy Perry has gave birth to a baby girl, Thursday, August 27. The good news was announced through a joint statement posted on UNICEF's website as they welcomed Daisy Dove.
"We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," they said in a statement.
"But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was," they explained "Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes."
Referring to the current health crisis that the world is fighting for, the couple had expressed concerned on the newborn lives due to the "greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent disease."
The couple set-up donation page to celebrate baby Daisy's or DDB arrival.
"By supporting UNISEF, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child," the couple urged everyone to join the cause.
