A four-day lockdown "time-out weekend" will be implemented in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City in a bid to mass testing on August 28-31,2020.
Both Negros Occidental Gevernor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued an executive orders for the 4-day total lockdown.
The mass testing targets 10,000 individuals with COVID-19 symptoms and close contacts of positive patients.
Following the announcement, long queues and people scrambled were spotted to stock essentials ahead of the 4-day lockdown that will start tomorrow, August 28.
