Veteran ABS-CBN anchor Ted Failon is set to make his final goodbye on August 31 for his 'TV Patrol' appearance.
After 30 years, Failon is leaving ABS-CBN, his beloved network confirmed on Sunday, August 30.
“The closure of ABS-CBN’s radio broadcast operations led to his painful decision and we respect it," the company said.
"We admire Ted’s talent, passion, and commitment to radio as his most effective medium in serving the Filipino people,” the statement read.
"He will always be a Kapamilya. We wish him well on his journey,” the network added.
Seventy (70) lawmakers in the House of Representatives' legislative franchise committee voted against granting ABS-CBN franchise renewal last July 10.
