According to Josephine Jaron Codilla's Facebook post, Diaz, who's from the 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion, FSRR, Philippine Army was wounded during the encounter in Sulu on August 4, 2020 has died in the evening of August 30 at Ciudad Medical hospital in Zamboanga City.
