Who would have known that a plant would cost P10 million pesos? With that price, you could buy a descent house and lot in the Philippines.
This plant is better known as Sansevieria Rorida or BG Regale, is claimed to be a million peso succulent plant. This rare plant was produced and nourished by Boyet Ganigan of Arid and Aroids, secretary of the Philippine Horticulture Society.

According to the owner Boyet Ganigan, a plant enthusiast from Iloilo, it took 10 years to produce this hybrid via mutation breeding. The stem taken from Africa was exposed to chemicals and radiation. This plant is rare, a cultivar that is one and only in the world.
The first time the plant was introduced last year, a bid start from P1 million to P10 million but the owner opted not to sell as he wanted to keep the only species of succulent in the world.
"May nagsabi sa amin na, 'That's worth a million plant!' Kasi nag-iisa siya sa buong mundo and the process of making it took some time, a lot of effort, a lot of expenses.
"So the first time na nilabas namin siya which was last year, we pegged it at ONE MILLION PESOS. That time, may mga offer pa na 1.5, 1.6 hanggang 1.9 million! But we opted not to sell it. We wanted to keep it.

"Then recently, may nag-offer ng 10 MILLION PESOS for it! Pero hindi namin siya binebenta kasi we want to keep BG Regale sa Pilipinas.
"Para siyang treasure. Feeling namin it deserves na mag-stay sa Pilipinas. We don't want others na mag-claim na sila ang may gawa," Boyet told Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.
