Flight attendant recount sad days after retrenchment but finds hope for LPG tank dealer job

 Far from her life before the coronavirus pandemic, former Cebu Pacific flight attendant recount sad days after being made redundant by the airline. Maureen Maurice Avila posted on social media about her struggle after losing her airline job, and switching to working as an LPG tank dealer. 



She shared two photos on her Facebook account, the first photo was showing herself donned with the airline's uniform while holding her luggage.  The second photo is showing Maureen's current job, she was  holding a trolley of an LPG tank to deliver to her customer.



As lead cabin crew of Cebu Pacific Air, Maureen Avila enjoy of flying to various destinations. It was a job that she truly loved. It took her so long to accept everything that happened to her life, with airlines struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic - it still came as a blow.





"It took me so long to accept and post this in social media. Madaming nagtatanong sakin pero hindi ko nirereplyan kase nahhiya ako. Feeling ko kasi parang nagfail ako sa buhay kahit alam ko na may pandemic at kelangan ito gawin ng kumpanya.



"Gabi gabi tinatanong ko ang Diyos 'Bakit kailangan mong kunin yung pangarap na pinaghirapan ko," Maureen wrote on her Facebook post.



"I was devastated for 2 weeks; nawalan ng gana kumain, iyak ng iyak kada kagabe, paggising sa umaga iiyak nnmn. Ang sakit sakit," She added.



Eventually she began to accept the circumstances she was in, and started her life back with  the helped of her boyfriend. They started to venture on LPG tank business  while she waits out this unprecedented crisis.





"HINDI DAPAT IKAHIYA NA NATANGGAL KA SA TRABAHO. To others na nawalan din ng trabaho during this Pandemic, don’t lose hope. Narealize ko sa one and half month, na kahit anong gsto natin sa buhay kung hndi naman talaga yun ang plano ni Lord, kukunin at kukunin nya yun sayo. 



"Para sa mga gusto pading mag-FA, kita kits tyo sa pila sa Grand Hiring. Sabay sabay tayo mangarap uli, sabay sabay tyong lilipad uli! There is always hope and always keep in mind that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We will paint sky yellow, blue and red again! We will have our wings again," Maureen said.
