Tokyo's Tagalog-speaking governor impresses Filipinos living in Japan for her reminders during pandemic

 Tokyo's first-ever female governor Yuriko Koike was shown on TV as she addressed the coronavirus pandemic precautionary measures in 'Tagalog', leaving Filipinos in Japan in awe.




As the country continues to fight the coronavirus, Ms Koike's has never failed to remind Filipino's living in Tokyo to protect their self and families by taking appropriate precautions as she explained in 'Tagalog.





"Kahit tayo'y nasa mga pagtitipon at pagdiriwang, lagi pa rin natying isagawa ang paghuhugas ng kamay, pagsusuot ng mask, pagsunod sa social distancing, at pag-iwas sa Three Cs.



"Magtulungan po tayo na maprotektahan ang ating mga mahal sa buhay, ayon sa slogan na "Iwasang mahawa, at huwag manghawa," Governor Koike said.






Ms. Koike won re-election to secure a second four-year term as governor of Tokyo. She also speaks fluent in Arabic as she experienced living and studying in Egypt in the 1970s.
