Bacolod to step-up 'No BaCTrac, No Entry' policy to all establishments effective March 1

 Bacolod City is set to step-up its coronavirus tracking capabilities to everyone entering the  business establishment here. So, before going in to your favorite restaurants or supermarkets make sure that you have your BaCTrac ready.







Effective March 1, 2021, the local government units of Bacolod will be implementing 'No BaCTrack, No Entry" policy among all business establishments including hotels and restaurants. 






The authorities said that even if your from other neighboring cities in Negros or from outside the province need to register BaCTrac online before you will be allowed to enter any establishments. Upon registration, an individual will be issued a BaC-Trac card which includes the holder’s name, address, identification number, and a uniquely-assigned quick response (QR) code. This will allow authorities to easily locate people suspected of having contact with COVID-19 patients.







The move will also give way to the plans of the city for the implementation  of partial liquor ban. Alcoholic beverages consumption in public places, including hotels, restaurants and other fine dining establishments will be allowed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This was the city's response to the request of the business sector of allowing establishments to serve alcoholic beverages to their costumers.






Under the City Ordinance 941, penalties are ranging from P1K, P2500 and P5000 for th first, second, third offences, respectively or imprisonment for not more than six months to succeeding offense.




To register, a user can visit www.bacolodcity.gov.ph and access the Bac-Trac page.




“It’s very simple. It’s free for everyone. It is also accessible. Once you are registered, a QR code will be generated for you. You can have it printed out and then keep it in your wallet,” Ang said.

 



Once a person enters a government building or a shopping mall, the QR code from his or her card will be scanned. 




The cards will serve as a digital logbook for the purpose of recording the date and time of entry of visit. 

 



Business and government establishments are required to download the mobile application CCTS Logger on Google store to be able to scan BaC-Trac cards.
