Group recreates version of 'Tililing' promotional poster after controversy

While the poster for Viva's upcoming movie 'Tililing' sparked online debate, mental health group shared their version of the controversial poster.

The Anxiety and Depression Support Philippines Facebook post says, "We can't judge the movie if we havent seen it yet. Let us just hope that it's done tastefully." However, they admitted that 'the poster is problematic.'

"You see.. media is a big part of social conditioning. Na pag maputi, maganda. Ung pulis, sa huli dumadating. Pag bakla, kikay. Pati na yung may mental health issues, suicidal sila or may split personality.

"Even us patients and the professionals don't use this word. Even the government is careful in addressing people with mental health struggles.

"Wag natin pausuhin.

Tililing? Hindi lahat ng problema ay nakikita. Yung iba diyan, nakatawa, masaya. We can't judge the movie if we havent...

"And the sad part is, hindi naman lahat ng may "tililing" or may pinagdaraanan ay mahahalata mo. Yung ibang may pinagdadaanan, sila pa yung nakatawa.

"Again, the poster is problematic but that's a good marketing tactic.

"Do understand na for the sake of publicity, most people will do everything for marketing.

If not.. oh well, that's showbiz," the group said.

Recently, actress Liza Soberano who's very vocal about mental health issue expressed her disapproval to the poster published for Viva's upcoming movie, Tililing, directed by Darryl Yap.
