Malacañang has amended the holidays for this year, making Nov. 2 (All Souls Day), Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve), and Dec. 31 (Last Day of the Year) as special working days.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday, Feb. 26, signed the Proclamation No. 1107 saying, "For the country to recover from the adverse economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need to encourage economic productivity by, among others, minimizing work disruption and commemorating some special holidays as special working days instead."
Special working days mean, "there is no more premium or additional compensation for working on those days," Labor Secretary Bello III said.
The regular holidays are:
