It looks like Rabiya Mateo who will represent the Philippines for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant on May 16, 2021 is ready.
Over the years it's a habit for Filipinos to associate our contestants' with their signature walks. From Pilapil walk (Venus Raj), Tsunami walk (Shamcey Supsup), Cobra walk (Janine Tugonon), Ariba walk (Ariella Arrida), Camel walk (Mary Jean Lastimosa), Tanim-Bala walk (Pia Wurtzbach), Alta walk (Maxine Medina), Infinity walk (Rachel Peters), Lava walk (Catriona Gray), and now prepare for Ilonggo's pride, the 'Hala Bira Walk'.
Rabiya Mateo on her exclusive rehearsal with ABS-CBN sports anchor Dyan Castillejo showed a glimpse of her fiercest signature walk "Hala Bira'. Hala Bira is an Aklanon language meaning "dispense all means". The word could always be heard from a performer at the famous Dinagyang festival.
Of course many of her supporters were impressed with her 'Hala Bira Walk' where hip-swaying was emphasized in a way that made her movement appear smoothly.
Undeniably, she had already the confident flair as she strutted forward. Mateo is determined to get the Miss Universe crown back to the Philippines.
