Look: Local brand 'Siklo' weatherproof bags are made from old tires

Siklo, a brand for durable bags in the Philippines is quietly making a splash. Thanks to Siklo Pilipinas for utilizing thrown-away tires into waterproof bags.

Siklo founder Lyndon and Clarice Ecuacion, an adventure seeker couple, came to realize the establishment of Siklo in 2012 where the brand has upcycled over 26 tons of discarded tire inner tubes.

Out of old tires they were able to create artsy and ultra-modern pieces of backpacks, crossbody, sling bag, tote bag, convertible, utility bag and more. Siklo is ready to accept customize design.

"Not for shy people. Many SIKLO users related their experiences in the airport, train, and other public places where people got curious and start asking questions. It is common occurrence that SIKLO products spark happy conversations with strangers. You are forewarned that a brief moment of your privacy might be compromise."
