Pia Wurtzbach gets bash with 'angry' tweets from Vietnamese pageant fans

 Miss Universe title holder 2015 Pia Wurtzbach recently took her by surprise when she woke up lately with a barrage of angry tweets from Vietnamese pageant fans.







"Woah! Woke up to so many angry fans from Vietnam! I think some of you misunderstood my tweet last night! I didn't mean any harm by it at all," she wrote.



 




The heated comments came after Pia's earlier tweet seemingly surprised about Miss Vietnam winning the Top 21's Fan vote online in the 69th Miss Universe pageant.




"Mas maraming pageant fans sa Vietnam kesa sa Pilipinas?" She tweeted.



Her tweet has offended many Vietnamese pageant fans which accused her of belittling their support for Vietnam's pageant contender. 



Pia, later explained to diffuse the online hate saying, "For years I was told (and I believed) that the Philippines had the most pageant fans in the world. But yesterday Vietnam   got the highest votes in history! Which meant I was wrong. Which surprised me! Thats it!! Thats all I meant by my tweet!"




She further clarified: "I wasn't being sarcastic or questioning your win at all! Hope this clears it up Folded hands Congratulations Vietnam for the highest votes in Miss Universe history!" She said.
