Errol Spence Jr. was forced to withdraw from his August 21 fight with Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao due to a retinal tear in his left eye which the doctor suggest a surgery 'ASAP'.
On his social media post on Wednesday, Spence expressed his disappointment over the cancelled fight.
"The doctors found a small tear in my eye and said I need to get surgery ASAP. There is no way I can fight with my eye in that condition I would like to apologize to everyone and thank you all for the support," Spence wrote on Instagram.
Went to three different doctors all said the same thing I’ll be back for the winner for sure
