Jonas Sultan defeats unbeaten Carlos Caraballo with four KO

 Jonas Sultan, 29, displayed a surprising performance after he defeated Puerto Rican Carlos "Purin" Caraballo in a 10-round action to clinch World Boxing Organization (WBO) intercontinental bantamweight title on Saturday at the Hulu Theater in New York  





Sultan knockdown Caraballo four times and earned unanimous decision victory, with judges scoring the fight 94-93.




Caraballo's first dropped happened in the second round with a short right uppercut that perfectly landed on the his chin. Another knockdown scored in the third round with a counter left hook, followed by third that came in sixth round.



The Puerto Rican fighter regain momentum in the fourth round as he landed left hand from Sultan, causing the Filipino to dropped momentarily.




But the Zamboanga del Norte fighter continue to control until the ninth round, dropping Caraballo with a left hook as his fourth.



Sultan improved to 18-5(11 KOs) in his career, claiming a third straight win after beating Salatiel Amit in August 2019 and Sharone Carter in August of this year. Included in the record is his victory against IBF junior bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero.
