Sara Duterte-Carpio will run for president alongside Senator Bong Go as her vice-president in the May 2022 elections. President Rodrigo Duterte confirmed with broadcast journalist Rey Langit that Sara-Go tandem is a go.
Duterte confirmed in an interview outside Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday after Go filed his COC for Vice President.
Rey Langit asked PRRD," So klaro po ito... Sara-Go?" Sara-Go na 'yan, said Duterte in an ambush interview uploaded on Facebook page of actress Vivian Velez.
Duterte withdrew his nomination as the Vice-Presidential candidate of PDP-Laban, and said he will retire from politics when his term ends in June 2022.
The president's latest statement came even if Mayor Sara has repeatedly rejected the presidency and filed her COC for her last term as a mayor of Davao on Saturday.
Asked if his daughter's presidential bid is already final, Duterte said "yes".
"Ah, actually, hindi kami nag-uusap ng politika, ever since we never talk about politics. I would say that is for the better,"" said Duterte.
