Omega Esports has been found guilty over match-fixing, so officials banned them to all Valve-sponsored events including the upcoming Dota 2 SEA DPC Tour 1.
The news was announced through Southeast Asia Dota Pro Circuit League Twitter account.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Nov. 23, the ban is effective immediately which addressed to the group members: Hiro (Dave Hiro Miyata), Prince 9Prince Daculan), Piolz (Patt Piolo Dela Cruz), Van (Van Jerico Manalaysay), and Cty (Christian Francis Maldo).
"Effective immediately, Smart Omega will no longer be in possession of their division I slot in the DPC Sea League. Boom eSports will retain their division I slot from the previous season as the 7th place finishing team for the upcoming 2021-2022 winter tour."
It means that Omega will lose their Division I slot in the SEA DPC which is set to open on Dec. 1.
