Miss Grand International Philippines Samantha Panlilio missed the Top 20 of the beauty pageant held in Thailand on Saturday.
Panlilio's gown was inspired by the seafaring vessel made of wood, dubbed as "Layag Balangay".
The Filipino beauty queen turned a "butterfly" during the national costume competition on Tuesday.
Samantha was crowned the Binibining Pilipinas Grand International in July.
Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. thanked Samantha for representing the Philippines shortly after she exit from the competition.
"Thank you for raising our flag, Sam! Stella Marquez Araneta and BPCI are delighted with your grand performance at Miss Grand International," it said.
"Thank you for giving the Philippines a good fight in Thailand. We are very proud of you, our Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021."
