GOLDEN GLOBES 2022 AWARD O YEONG SU BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

 Netflix's drama actor O Yeong Su won the award for Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes 2022 for his incredible performance as Player 001 in the popular series 'Squid Game'.




The 77-year-old South Korean actor who portrayed the role of Oh II-nam became the first Korean actor in Golden Globes history to win an award. He beat out Billy Crudup (The Morning Show), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Mark Duplass for (The Morning Show) and Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso) for the Supporting Role in a Series category.





The announcement was made via private ceremony, slashing out this year the stars grandest red carpet or live broadcast.




Squid Game has become Netflix's most watched series in 94 countries, with 142 million households had experienced watching the South Korean drama.






Meanwhile, Lee Jung-jae was nominated for the Best Performance by an actor in a Television Series-Drama but failed to win.



Netflix's 'Squid Game' also nominated for Best Television Series-Drama along with "Lupin," "The Morning Show" and "Pose". 'Succession' won in the said category.
