Elon Musk was quick to response from a plea of the Ukranian vice prime minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who asked his satellite internet access over Ukraine to help resist Russia's invasion of the country.
"Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route," Musk tweeted.
The extraordinary move comes after the internet in Ukraine has been disrupted due to the Russian invasion that affect the country's land-based system.
Previously, the billionaire donated 50 satellite terminals to restore the internet in Tonga, whose telecommunication network was affected by a tsunami that hit the island this year.
Starlink is a space-based system that SpaceX has been building for years to bring internet access to the world especially to underserved areas.
