During a presidential debate hosted by CNN, Sunday, February 27, Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson proclaimed that he's supporting the same sex union, and he assured the LGBTQ community that he will gave this rights if he will be given the chance to lead the country's highest position.
"Same-sex marriage, no; civil union (for the LGBTQ community), yes," said Lacson in the public debate.
Added that he was holding the same view with presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo, saying that no one in the members of the LGBTQ community should faced discrimination.
"Dapat walang discrimination, may karapatan din silang maging ordinaryo," he said.
"...Bigyan din natin sila ng pagkakataon," Lacson added.
Lacson also expressed his support on dissolution of marriage or divorce.
