TRAVEL TIME FROM KABANKALAN CITY TO NEIGHBORING MUNICIPALITIES VIA CABLE CAR WILL CUT DOWN FROM TWO HOURS TO 5 MINUTES

 The Tagukon P2-million agri tramline rehab project in Kabankalan City is now operational and it is expected to improve travel time from the usual two hours to just 5-minutes.

Farmers from the hinterland areas of Kabankalan City and municipalities of Mabinay and Manjuyod in Negros Oriental will benefit the said project.



It was funded by the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Agriculturist worth P2,026,251.25.



This Agricultural Tramline System (ATS) in Brgy. Tagukon, Kabankalan City would significantly help farming be more cost-efficient, and would provides a direct line between farmers and the nearest farm-to-market road, avoiding rivers and dense vegetation.

It appears that the tram is run by a diesel engine that pull a single cart. This is significantly reduces the cost of hauling agriculture products.
