A magnitude 7.3 earthquake was reported Wednesday evening which trigger a tsunami advisory.
A Japan Meteorological Agency said the quake has hit 60-kms (36 miles) below the sea. The location is part of northern part of the country devastated by a deadly 9.0 quake and tsunami 11 years ago. The quake came only days after the region marked the 11th anniversary of the disaster in March 2011.
