Haven't yet received your National ID? Here's how you can track its status!
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has an important announcement to people who have been waiting for their National ID. On its Facebook post they shared the process on how applicants can track the status of their ID online.
Here's how you can check the status of your National ID Card:
- Visit tracking.phlpost.gov.ph
- Enter the tracking number indicated on the slip you received when you got your ID.
- Click on Track to see the status. It will either say your ID is In Transit, Delivered, or Not Found.
According to PSA, if the status of your PhilID card shows NOT FOUND, don't worry, it doesn't mean that your card has been lost! It means that your ID card has not yet been dispatched to the Post Office.
The agency also explained that due to the pandemic, they have been prioritizing the delivery of National IDs to low-income families that registered in 2020 and early 2021. A PhilSys mobile app is also in progress to serve as an alternative way for a digital version of the ID.
The PSA said that over 10 million Filipinos have already receive their cards nationwide as of May 2022.
Those who haven't yet registered for the National ID can apply online through the PhilSys website.
