JENNY RAMP IS THE NEW MISS PHILIPPINES EARTH 2022

Tarlac stunner Jenny Ramp won the Miss Philippines Earth 2022 title despite uncertainties caused by heavy rains in Coron, Palawan yesterday.

Jenny Ramp is from Tarlac City.  She is a commercial model and a psychology student at Holy Angel University. In her introduction video, Jenny said that she had been environmentally conscious since she was young.

Ramp bested out more than 40 candidates for the title that highlights advocacy to protect planet Earth.

Jimema Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental won Miss Philippines Air 2022, while Angel Santos of Trece Martires City won as Miss Philippines Water 2022.

Meanwhile, Eryka Vina Talavera Tan of Legazpi City won the Miss Philippines Fire 2022 title.

Miss Philippines Eco Tourism 2022 was won by Nice Lampad of Bayugan City.

Ramp replaces Naelah Alshorbaji, who finished in the Top 8 of Miss Earth 2021.

During the question-and-answer segment, Ramp was asked about the struggles she faces.

Here is her answer:

"The battle that I am facing is against myself. Every single day, I strive to be the better version of myself and during this pageant, I certainly battled myself. I was dealing with insecurities. I felt alone. But this empowered me to do better, to do better for myself, for my family, for my friends, and for the environment.

Jenny Ramp will represent the Philippines at the Miss Earth pageant to be held in the country this year.

Jenny’s pageant advocacy is to educate everyone about ecological sustainability, especially the youth and the marginalized sectors on renewable energy and reforestation.

“I’m sure we can be sustainable and choose greener ways over polluting our home. Let us all come together for this cause and spread awareness,” she said.
