The widow Vanessa Byrant was emotional and cried when she found out the horrible picture of the incident of her late husband and daughter was shared. Basketball legend Kobe Bryant,41, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in 2020.
According to Vanessa Bryant, she was feeding her youngest child when she saw the article that leaked photos of the tragedy that happened to her late husband and daughter.
Vanessa said the allegedly first respondent violated the sharing of the photos even though Sheriff Alex Villanueva assured him that the scene of the crash would be safe.
The widow sued Los Angeles County for negligence and invasion of privacy.
When she heard the news, she immediately ran out of the house so that his other children would not see her crying.
"I felt like I can't escape my body. I can't escape my feelings," Vanessa said.
She felt blindsided, devastated, hurt, and betrayed by the county employees who leaked the photos.
The photos shared will cause her more trauma and panic attacks. She is also afraid that one day, her other children will see the pictures of what happened to their father and sister.
The gruesome photos were taken at the site of the crash on January 26, 2020, in Calabasas, California, which killed all nine people on board.
Byant's lawyer said first responders shared the photos as "visual gossip" with about 30 people including at the bar, banquet, and while playing the video game "Call of Duty."
