Singer-songwriter Arthur Nery was hugged by a fan on stage during his performance at a music festival in Camarines Sur.
In a viral video shared by CamSur TV on Facebook, Arthur thanked the 70,000 attendees of the first Hiraya Music Festival in Pili, Camarines Sur on Saturday, September 24. But the singer had to deal with a fan who took on stage and surprising him with a hugged and a quick kissed.

It can be seen a production staff tried to stop the girl and control the situation but Arthur accept a selfie which was requested by an enthusiastic female fan. The singer put his arm around the fan while he waits for the security that will escort her offstage.
Arthur was commended by his action as he was able to handle the situation professionally.
"In all fairness, mabait si Arturo di niya tinulak or somehow naging gentleman pa rin siya. Siguro iyong kiss ay beyond na since we're talking about his safety here. Lab ü pa rin, Arturo," a comment read.
However the incident was criticized by other loyal fans who said Arthur needs respect.
"She had the permission to go up on stage, but not the permission to kiss Arthur Nery. I'm also a huge fan of Arthur, since day one, but I will never ever invade his personal space. You can also see how uncomfortable he is. It's too much. The disrespect indeed. For all the fans of Arthur Nery, please, know your limits😗❤ We can hug him, let him know how we love and support him. But not this one. We should protect Arthur. If girl siguro yung artist and may umakyat na guy na fan, and ganyan ginawa, baka na issue na yang pag kiss na yan. And that is so sad. how sad, na hindi halos napansin yung reaction ni Arthur at hindi napuna yung action ni ate gurl hehe🙂 stay healthy Arthur Nery! hindi ka na sana maka encounter ng ganitong fan emz We love you❤" a fan wrote in the comments section of the post.
"Kung fan ka, you should know your limit. Never ever invade his personal space. Look how uncomfortable he is," another one said.
