BULACAN LGU's PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE FALLEN HEROES OF TYPHOON 'KARDING'

 The Bulacan Provincial government honored the fallen heroes of the typhoon 'Karding' that hit the Philippines on Sunday, September 25.



The death of the five emergency responders has triggered an emotional reaction in the province of Bulacan and many parts of the country.





The fatalities who are also a members of Bulacan Provincial Dissaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) are: George Agustin, Troy Justin Agustin, Marby Bartolome, Jerson Resurreccion, and Narciso Calayag Jr.




The Bulacan provincial government changed its profile picture on Facebook into black and white.



"Isang madilim na kabanata sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan. Ilan sa ating mga kawani ang nagbuwis ng buhay sa pagnanais na magligtas ng buhay ng kanilang mga kalalawigan.



"Sama-sama po tayong mag-alay ng panalangin para sa kanila at sa mga pamilyang kanilang naulila.


"Sila ay tunay na bayani ng ating lalawigan," a statement reads.



The five-member team who came from different towns in Bulacan, were preparing life boats while conducting rescue operations around midnight in San Miguel town when a flash flood stuck their way.



There lifeless bodies was found in Sitio Banga, Barangay Kamias at around 4 A.M. Monday, according to reports.




Meanwhile, the Bulacan Council of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer's Facebook page also changed their profile picture with a black horizontal line.



"Pagluluksa para sa mga mandirigmang nalagas mula sa hanay ng mga tagasagip-buhay."
