Many netizens are reacting to the viral video of a group of people and most of them are senior citizens holding a candle as they chant with praised to Aldub.
Maine Mendoza in an interview with Ogie Diaz called out her fans who continue to believe that she and Alden have kids. But her diehard fans appeared to have no sign of stopping and breaking their tandem.
A day after Maine Mendoza called the attention of some of her delusioned AlDub fans, video clips of fandom activities have been circulated on Twitter that quickly went viral.
"Mabuhay ang AlDub nation, Mabuhay si Alden, Mabuhay si Maine," the woman with a candle said while the group unanimously echoed repeatedly.

In Another video, fans were seen singing "If We Hold On Together" as they hold a lighted candle.
"Sad that aldub nation would forever be remembered as a candle-lighting cult-like fandom. they were GREAT back then. nabura ung legacy nilang nagpataob ng LAHAT ng kalabang LT. even their charity works and good deeds are forgotten," one said.
"Aldub cult reminds me of the time I was invited to a Rizal memorial celebration and it turned out to be a Rizal cult celebration. Walking the streets of Calamba with torches and people chanting prayers to Rizal at 2am is still something I struggle to understand," another one said.
However, there are some also who shared their beliefs as they came for AlDub's defense saying, "How cud ALDUBNATION be called a Cult when we dont have a known leader... we were just brought together by GOD to love and Support ALDUB... that became the HAPPY PILL to millions. Is it wrong to desire HAPPINESS?"

AlDub is the loveteam of Alden and Maine from their characters in the blockbuster kalyeserye on "Eat Bulaga" which started in 2015.
