LIVE CAT FOUND INSIDE A LUGGAGE AT JFK AIRPORT

A cat was discovered by security personnel inside a traveler's checked in luggage at New York's John Kennedy International Airport.

On a Twitter post by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on Tuesday, an image of a clingy feline can be seen in an X-ray of the luggage. Another photo showed an orange hair reaching outward of the zipper lane of the suitcase.

TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein said in a statement that the traveler wasn't aware that there's a cat inside his bag.

"The cat belonged to someone else in his household," Farbstein explained.

"We're letting the cat out of the bag on a hiss-toric find," the TSA Twitter post read.  This CATch had our baggage screening officers @JFKairport saying, “Come on meow”! Feline like you have travel questions reach out to our furiends @AskTSA. They’re available every day, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (ET)."

Authorities confirmed that cat didn't belong to the traveler and "on the bright side, the cat's out of the bag and safety back home," Farbstein said.

An Instagram user by the name of Alex Augustyniak claimed to be the owner said: "that's my boy" in TSA's Instagram story.

Alex also shared a video of the cat's attempt to sneak inside the suitcase, "proof that he just does this," it said.

TSA reminded passengers that pets should not be placed inside a bag for screening at airport's X-ray machine.
