An emotional homecoming took place when an OFW man decided to surprise his parents during their wedding anniversary celebration.
Robi Leonardo who came home from Dubai wore a bear costume after five years of being away from his family in Cavite.
According to Leonardo he had planned to be home for their family's house blessing but failed to make it due to some circumstances.
"I'm supposed to arrive at 12:15pm pero dumating kami sa NAIA T3 ng 2:30pm... Nag decide po akong iwan ang mga bagahe ko at nagbyahe na kami from airport to Cavite ng mga 3pm," he wrote on Facebook.
He continued: "Nakpaka-traffic...nag contact po kami ng pinsan na nag momotorsiklo dahil ayun na lamang ang nakikita kong way para makalusot sa traffic."
"Naka costume po ako ng Teddy Bear as part ng surprise. Dapat may mag susuot ng mascotna ibang tao hindi na nagawa dahil nga sa nangyari na sa venue," he added.
He made sure that he could reach at the venue on time for the wedding anniversary of his parents since he had with him their wedding rings for their renewal of vows.
"Grabe ang mga nangyari.Kala ko hindi ako aabot, at sira na ang sorpresa pero napakabuti pa din ng Panginoon Diyos. Buti na lang din ako ang pinili nila Mama and Papa," Leonardo said.
"Halo-halo ang mga emotions. Buhos ang mga luha. Walang mapagsidlan na kaligyahan. I'm home at last!" he added.
