NETFLIX TO CHARGE P149 FOR ACCOUNT SHARING OUTSIDE HOUSEHOLD

 Netflix will be charging an additional P149 to subscriber who will share their account to someone outside their household.

The update was released on May 24 by Netflix Philippines.

"A Netflix account is for use by one household. Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are - at home, on the go, on holiday," the streaming giant said.


Members can also transfer a person's profile so the user can keep their viewing history and recommendations.

"We recognize that our members have many entertainment choices. It's why we continue to invest heavily in a wide variety of new films and TV shows - so whatever your tastes, mood or language and whoever you're watching with, there's always something satisfying to watch on Netflix," it added.

 

Netflix last year said it was going to limit account sharing.


According to reports, Netflix is also expanding it crackdown on password sharing to the United States and more than 100 other countries.
