TRAVELERS GOING TO THE PHILIPPINES CAN APPLY VISA ONLINE BY 3RD QUARTER

 The nation is set to send off its e-visa framework soon, making it more straightforward for travelers to visit the Philippines, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Wednesday.


Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Jesus Domingo said during a press briefing, the e-visa framework is booked for implementation by the 3rd quarter of the year, or by end-September at the most this year.




The Philippine e-visa framework will permit foreign nationals to apply for suitable Philippine visas somewhat through online transaction.

"“This would make the visa application process faster, more efficient and convenient for foreign nationals who wish to visit the Philippines for touristic and business purposes,” Domingo said.



Malacañang prior said the program, which permits travelers to apply for transitory visas on the web, is just at present appreciated by Taiwanese nationals.
