Bago City, Negros Occidental - Authorities are currently searching for 17-year-old Rica Jane Decendario who was reported missing on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Her family is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to her whereabouts.
Decendario, a resident of crossing Mining, Bago City, was last seen on Sunday and has not returned home since. Concerned for her safety, her family immediately filed a missing person report with local authorities.
The news of Decendario's disappearance has caused alarm within the community, especially following the tragic case of 15-year-old Pearl Joy Galve who was found lifeless in Barangay Cubay, La Carlota City, on the morning of Wednesday, August 14.
Pearl Joy, a Grade 10 student at Sum-ag National High School in Bacolod City, was reported missing on July 29, 2024.
Her body identified her body by the distinctive shorts her daughter was wearing.
The circumstances surrounding how the young student ended up in La Carlota remain unclear, leaving the family in shock. Both Bacolod and La Carlota police are investigating the case.
The local community is called upon to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities in the search for the missing teenager.
