BTS member Suga has released a second handwritten apology on August 25, expressing deep remorse for his recent drunk driving incident. The rapper is facing police investigation for riding an electric scooter while intoxicated on August 6 in Seoul.
CCTV footage captured Suga riding the scooter on a sidewalk and falling down while attempting to turn into a luxury apartment complex. Three police officers intervened, leading to his questioning on August 23.
In his apology, Suga acknowledged the gravity of his actions, stating, "I deeply apologize for disappointing and hurting my fans and everyone who loves me with my wrongdoings." He admitted to making a "big mistake" by riding the scooter after drinking and expressed regret for the confusion caused by his initial apology.
Suga apologized to his fellow BTS members and fans, acknowledging the harm his actions have caused to their reputation. He emphasized his commitment to learning from this experience and living a life of repentance.
The rapper also expressed his willingness to accept any punishment or criticism that may result from the incident.
Suga's lawyer, Chae Jae Hoon, is known for representing former Super Junior member Kangin in a similar DUI case in 2016.
