Elton John, the 77-year-old singer, has revealed that he is recovering from a severe eye infection that has left him with limited vision in one eye.
The infection, which occurred over the summer, has been a slow process to heal, and it will take some time before his sight returns to the impacted eye.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, John expressed his gratitude for the excellent medical care he has received and the support of his family during this difficult time. He has been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home and is feeling positive about his progress.
Many celebrities, including Donatella Versace, Bob Harris, and Layton Williams, have sent their well wishes to John, offering their support and encouragement during his recovery.
It was recently announced that the documentary film "Elton John: Never Too Late" will have its European premiere at the BFI London film festival this year. John, who was made a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour in 2021, is renowned for his iconic hits such as "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting," "I'm Still Standing," and "Your Song." In 2019, he was portrayed by Taron Egerton in the film "Rocketman," which chronicled his life story.
