A recent viral complaint about Landers Superstore's packaging practices has reignited discussions online, with socialite and content creator Small Laude's grocery shopping vlog with her sister Alice Eduardo becoming a point of reference.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Paulo (@pauloinmanila) shared a clip from Small's earlier vlogs where she visited S&R with her sister. He noted that despite facing similar packaging practices at both S&R and Landers, neither Small nor Alice expressed any complaints.
Paulo's post, which has garnered significant attention, sparked debates among online users. Some compared the vlog to the customer's viral rant, while others defended the common practice of using boxes for groceries at membership-based stores like S&R and Landers.
Many users pointed out that the Laude sisters didn't seem to mind the boxes, as they likely planned to transfer the items to their pantry or refrigerator upon arrival home. Others argued that the boxes were generally disposable after unpacking the groceries.
Small Laude, a former owner of the Greenhills Learning Center, is married to Philip Laude, a scion of the Candyman candy company.
The Landers customer's complaint, shared on TikTok by celebrity hairstylist Lourd Ramos, highlighted the use of boxes for packing groceries. He expressed disappointment, given the premium membership fees associated with Landers.

While Lourd later clarified that his issue was with the way the items were packed rather than the boxes themselves, his initial video sparked controversy. He subsequently deleted the follow-up video after facing criticism for his remarks.
Both S&R and Landers are membership-based grocery stores known for selling products in bulk or wholesale, making boxes a common packaging choice.
